Amy Shea, Human Resources
Amy Shea serves as Human Resources Manager at Westport Hospitality, where she oversees all facets of human resources to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with state and federal labor laws. She leads initiatives in employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruitment, training and development, workplace safety, and wellness programs, while guiding the development of policies that foster a positive and productive workplace. Amy is also committed to mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals.
Amy’s passion for the travel and hospitality industry began more than 35 years ago in the travel, marketing, and incentive sector. She began her career with Business Incentives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a company specializing in corporate travel rewards and incentive programs. She later joined World Travel Military Tours in San Diego, California, where she managed the WWII 50th Anniversary Tours, organizing commemorative trips that brought World War II veterans back to the historic landing sites where they had served.
She later returned to Minneapolis to lead the tourism department at the Mall of America, directing domestic and international tourism and marketing initiatives. In 2000, Amy relocated to Vermont and joined the University of Vermont as a Major Gift Officer, where she expanded her experience in development and alumni relations.
Amy joined Westport Hospitality in 2014, bringing decades of industry experience and human resources leadership to the organization. In her role, she continues to champion organizational excellence, employee engagement, and the development of future hospitality leaders. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
