The Harborvale in Burlington is the newest hospitality offering by Westport Hospitality, the team behind Hotel Vermont, the nationally recognized Condé Nast Traveler “Best Hotel in New England.” As Vermont’s first Autograph Collection hotel and only the third in New England, The Harborvale promises to be “Exactly Like Nothing Else.”
The Harborvale is seeking a Night Auditor to join our newly reimagined, one-of-a-kind property located in downtown Burlington, Vermont, set on the shores of Lake Champlain. The Harborvale’s story is inspired by the wonder and sense of place that Lake Champlain provides; the adventure of fresh experiences, the opportunity to reminisce about fond memories while creating new stories to share.
The Night Auditor is at the heart of the guest experience at The Harborvale, shaping each stay from the moment of arrival to departure. Whether welcoming guests at the start of their journey, assisting throughout their stay, or offering a warm farewell, the Night Auditor creates a seamless, personalized experience that reflects the spirit and hospitality of The Harborvale.

Position Overview:
The Night Auditor at The Harborvale will bring their experience of exceptional service and ability to celebrate the extraordinary guest connections to our team to enhance what this property is known for.
In this role, you will engage in a manner that reflects the individuality of The Harborvale. You’ll cultivate a culture of warmth and excellence, creating memories that embody a sense of wonder, a hint of nostalgia, and a spark of adventure.
Core Responsibilities:
To present a positive image of the hotel to all guests and be knowledgeable of all hotel service to provide an exceptional experience for guests. All functions are to be carried out in an environment of teamwork
Demonstrate strong hands-on familiarity with cash handling procedures.
Demonstrate strong competency with 10 key calculations by touch.
Ensure that audits are completed free of mathematical or procedural errors.
Ensure that guest transactions will satisfy performance standards for front desk agents.
Ensure that audits completed reflect the following:
Audit entries are correct and legible with tapes attached.
Reports, tapes, receipts and supporting paperwork organized for simple review of work.
Ensure that audit reports, daily receipts, tapes, supporting documentation are chronologically filed.
Offer observations and assistance to management and operating departments, which improve the efficiency of the audit.
Anticipate late night check ins and check outs and do not allow lack of immediate access to automated systems to inconvenience guests.
Ensure that proper procedures for dealing with guest illness or injury, system failures, fire alarms, robbery, security incidents and other emergencies are described accurately and/or followed if they occur.
Refer to the daily event sheet to direct guests to the correct meeting room, as needed.
Demonstrate knowledge of the departments and names of management personnel to direct guests for further assistance.
Maintain open communication channels with my co-workers and managers.
Immediately report any other out-of-the ordinary issues to management.
Adhere to the hotels policies and procedures.
Follow all safety guidelines to ensure personal safety and that of guests and fellow employees.
Position Requirements:
Must be available for flexible schedules, including days, evenings & weekends, and holidays
Has 1 year of Night Audit experience.
Must be able to lift #25 repeatedly during a day to assist with guest luggage when needed.
Must be able to stand throughout shift
