Title: Experience Concierge
Reports to: Front Office Manager at Hotel Vermont and The Harborvale

The Experience Concierge has one very important job; support guests at Hotel Vermont and The Harborvale in the enjoyment of outdoor summer activities. We view Burlington and the surrounding bike paths, shorelines and neighborhoods as our resort. The Experience Concierge is our resort guide, plugged in, knowledgeable and ready to curate experiences.

OVERVIEW

The Experience concierge will work directly with the Front Office and Marketing Departments to coordinate and recommend a variety of activities for the guests of Hotel Vermont, The Harborvale and the Burlington community. Activities include, biking routes, brewery tours, access to paddle crafts at The Sailing Center and secret beaches. Stationed at an outdoor activities hut between the two hotels this position will be the go to resource for all things outdoors. This is a part-time, seasonal position, Friday – Sunday. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Work with Marketing Coordinator and other department heads to plan, coordinate, and promote activities for hotel Guests

  • Facilitate and manage a fleet of 12 custom bikes to lend to hotel guests.

  • Facilitate and recommend: biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, nature walking, brew tours, rainy day activities (candle making, game days, and more)

  • Create and maintain partnerships with local vendors and organizations

  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Admin duties:

  • Assist with producing a calendar of events for the hotel.

  • Maintain accurate activity supply inventories, liability waivers and passes

REQUIREMENTS

  • An excitement for hospitality and outdoor activities

  • Intimate knowledge of Burlington and the surrounding areas

  • High School Diploma or GED, College preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outgoing, friendly personality

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability to work well with others, inside as well as outside the company

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to stand on your feet for duration of shift

  • Ability to work outside (this is primarily an outdoor position)

We offer competitive pay and a benefits package with an hourly rate of $18.50
