Title: Juniper Host
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor

For more than 13 years, we’ve shared hospitality on Cherry Street in Burlington, cultivating local partnerships and celebrating the independence and sense of community that define Vermont. As the region’s only independently owned and operated full-service hotel, we keep it simple, taking care of one another so we can take care of our guests in an uncomplicated, natural manner. This approach has earned recognition as one of Condé Nast Traveler’s Top Hotels in New England (2017, 2018, 2019, 2025) and, more importantly, the trust of our local community. As part of our team, you’ll help guests explore like a local, relax like it’s their job, and soak in every detail. 

Food and beverage are a defining aspect of the guest experience at Hotel Vermont for guests and locals alike. Local sourcing and community partnerships are at the heart of what we do. We believe in the value of a barista who personally knows the coffee roaster, a chef with longstanding agricultural relationships, and a team that works harvest at local vineyards. Juniper is a professional restaurant setting where education, expectations, and hospitality support professional growth.

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

  • Walking up and down stairs multiple times in a shift

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to carry wait trays loaded with dishes and glasses

We offer competitive wages and benefits. This is a tipped position, with a base hourly rate of $12.00–$16.00 depending on shift, experience and qualifications.
