Maintenance Technician
Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to ensure that all maintenance duties are carried out speedily, to the required standard, in guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas and back of house areas of the hotel at all times.
Responsibilities:
Maintains a professional image at all times that falls within the hotel and company guidelines for appearance and dress.
Demonstrates teamwork by assisting colleagues as needed.
Has knowledge of and assists in all emergency procedures as required.
Attends all mandatory meetings and training classes.
Carries out various repairs and maintenance tasks as required and record all pertinent details.
Strives to continuously improve the knowledge of the job.
To undertake any reasonable request made by management.
Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others and wears and uses the appropriate safety clothing/equipment supplied, and follows all maintenance instructions
Supports a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations
Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies Security
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Attention to detail
Able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 10 lbs of force frequently.
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays when business needs dictates.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of basic hand tools.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, reasonable color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The associate occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
