Reports to: Marketing Manager

Westport Hospitality is looking for a creative, forward thinking, and enthusiastic individual to expand our marketing department.

The Marketing Specialist will support marketing initiatives for the Westport Hospitality portfolio with a content and creative focus. This role will play an essential piece in sharing the narratives of distinct hotels and restaurants, ranging from creating social media content to coordinating branded events. The Marketing Coordinator aims to connect with potential, existing, and returning guests, as well as locals, in a voice that is unique to each brand.

Responsibilities

  • Be a voice and eye for the Westport Hospitality brands. Learn and implement the brand identities that define each hotel and restaurant. Apply these across channels, distinguishing the brands from each other and our competitive set. Provide guidance around brand pillars, voice, visual identity to other departments as needed.

  • Social Media: Support the development of social media strategy and campaign execution; help monitor Instagram and Facebook accounts; assist in responding to comments and messages and engaging with our follower base.

  • Branded Event and Programming Coordination: Support the Marketing Manager and Events team in coordinating, marketing, and executing brand-aligned community events (weekly, series, one-off, etc). Examples include Hotel Vermont’s Ice Bar, Holiday Market, jazz night, as well as a similar calendar of new events at the rebranded hotel.

  • Content Strategy Support: Assist the Marketing Manager in campaign execution through copywriting and photography to be used in social media campaigns, email newsletters, collateral and websites, reflective of each hotel's brand.

  • Website Support: Assist with website updates, maintenance, and content.

  • Brand Visuals & Collateral: Refer to branded creative guidelines to assist in updating signage, printed materials, menus, etc.

  • Photography/Videography Coordination: Help plan and execute content shoots and gather visual assets from teams and partners.

  • Autograph Collection by Marriott Rebrand: Support the Marketing Manager in the launch of the rebranded Autograph Collection Marriott hotel (launching Spring 2026) including development of programming, campaigns, events, etc.

Who You Are:

  • Experience in hotel brand management, marketing, advertising, public relations or graphic design field or communications, or related degree

  • Strong copywriting skills with attention to tone and detail

  • Photography and design experience preferred

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) and basic design platforms (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Passion for hospitality, travel, food & beverage, and/or community-driven business
